Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Supplier Diversity Program
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI):
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) have always been important values and principles of the Ockers Company. It strengthens our relationships with our customers, employees, and vendors. The Ockers Company believes that hiring a diverse cross-section of employees is a foundation for having a culturally, economically, and gender-balanced working environment while offering its staff a feeling of belonging and being recognized for who they are. Having an inclusive work environment means that from the top down each employee feels included in what the company does, supports, and practices. Diverse hiring is the start and through daily interactions between employees, leaders, teams, and peers we prove that Ockers is a genuine workplace that practices DEI with the support of its leadership and grassroots energy from its employees.
Implementing an effective and inclusive DEI program offers employees a voice in sharing their opinions with others, across all levels of the company. It allows leadership to gather and discuss employee recommendations with a voice in company policy and practice. We value our employees, and we want their voices to be heard and appreciated. Through meetings and training programs Ockers strives to remove silos and promote company-wide inclusion across all departments with a collaborative environment.
Supplier Diversity Program:
Supplier Diversity is also a part of this winning formula. The Ockers Company’s Supplier Diversity Program is simply an extension of our commitment to being the vendor(s) of choice.
We seek to maintain the best supply chain for the best customer solutions while contributing to the economic growth of diverse and small businesses reflecting the communities we serve. We consider all suppliers that can bring us a competitive edge including Business Enterprises owned by Minority (MBEs), Women (WBEs), Disabled Veteran (DVBEs), Lesbian/Gay/ Bisexual/Transgender (LGBT), and Small and (8a) firms; collectively known as Diverse Business Enterprises (DBEs).
Our objective includes actively seeking out certified diverse suppliers that can provide competitive, high-quality goods and services whose business model is aligned with our business strategy.
We ensure the inclusion of diverse suppliers as part of our sourcing and procurement process.
