Entertainment Technician (Rigging)

We are seeking an experienced Rigging professional to plan, execute, and repair rigging for the installation and movement of heavy aerial audio-visual equipment. You will be required to prepare the space and materials before loading, set up the rigging equipment, and install the audio-visual large format screens, projectors, and speaker clusters while adhering to safety standards. This person will operate heavy equipment and dismantle the Rigging once the job is complete.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong Rigging fundamentals background and have experience leading a team. We offer flexible work hours, with work typically occurring during 1st or 2nd shift, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
• Inspect and prepare loads that need to be installed or moved
• Set, align, and level heavy equipment machinery
• Ensure compliance with state health and safety regulations
• Communicate timely updates to the office daily for their awareness and to provide workflow progress
• Illustrate the intent of designs to team members through line drawings and location diagrams
• Prepare Rigging equipment, to include beams, bolts, clamps, and pulleys
• Inspect rigging before its use
• Provide guidance to all team members on proper OSHA standards and safety precautions
• Montor and maintain all Rigging equipment
• Disassemble Rigging equipment and conduct post-job inspections
• Assess all rooms upon project completion for cleanliness and preparation for client review and acceptance
• Perform other duties as requested
• Minimum of 4 years of Rigging experience required
• Experience mounting projectors, screens, speakers, and various other AV equipment is required
• High School diploma or GED
• ETCP certification is a plus
• Aerial Rigging experience is preferred
• Entertainment electrician experience desirable
• Must be able to travel daily to various client sites, and out of state when required
• Passion for customer service and quality of work
• Advanced understanding of Rigging terminology and commonly used components
• Must be able to think independently and prioritize work for efficient completion of tasks and team communication
• Full comprehension of Rigging equipment and heavy machinery
• Perform duties in noisy areas with temperatures that are colder or hotter than standard office environment conditions
• Possess great time management skills to divide and prioritize daily tasks to complete projects as scheduled
• Awareness of required tools and proper use of them for specific tasks
• Occasional work in tight and/or narrow spaces, such as raised floors
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, or crouch for long periods of time
• Current, valid state-issued driver’s license required
• Successful completion of Background check after offer acceptance
• Handle daily responsibilities with a sense of urgency
The salary/hourly range for this role is $30 to $38 per hour, dependent on the candidate’s background, certifications, and experience.
